DogMänn?

A game concept that I have personally been working and adjusting as I find time. This is project is an appreciation of a time when early 3d game graphics had inspired me in my later years.

The idea had came to me when I was working on a few art assignments while I attended University of Advancing Technologies in Tempe Arizona with the main player character Danny (Dogman) and fell in love with the wierdness of the character design.  I usual lean towards more of a historical fantasy genre when it comes to story telling but I wanted to try and dabble more into the sci-fi realm and make myself a more rounded creator.

I took inspirations from PS1 games such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dinocrisis and Haunting Ground (Demento).  A lot of these games are survival horror and held a powerful atmosphere for me as a kid and I want to mimic that feeling I had back in late 90s to early 2000s.  I don't expect this game to be a very long experience but it would be one from the heart!

As for the name of the this game concept, well, for the moment a lot of my friends and colleagues can't see this game other than Dogman but, for originality I've attempted to play with the spelling with English word 'dog' and the German word 'man' (männ). So, until there is an alternative name, for now its DogMänn!

DogMänn's Story

The story takes place in a science facility that is submerged under the ocean waves at point nemo. (So they can do all of the science-y things in secret.) But I wanted to play on a different twist where most games play at the human survivor's Perspective, this one plays by the experiment's point of view (POV).

Danny's story begins at the very bottom of the facility and he makes his way up as the system begins to malfunction. He collects documents and papers, knowing that they are important somehow but has the mental capacity of a young child in the mists of monstrous experiments.

As the player, you will only able to gather small bits of information as you progress and interacting with other creatures that are taking advantage of the weakened security. Some are friendly while others are dangerous and have to use the environment to hide and solve puzzles or use the environment to your advantage.
